Annie Vandenberg Obituary

Annie passed away at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops on Tuesday March 23, 2021 at the age of 88 years. There will be no formal funeral service as per Annie’s request. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Revelstoke District Humane Society, P.O. Box 340, Revelstoke, B.C. V0E 2S0, or to the Community Connections Food Bank, P.O. Box 2880, Revelstoke, B.C. V0E 2S0, in memory of Annie.

Annie was born in Nijmegen, The Netherlands on September 15, 1932 and had been a resident of Revelstoke for more than four years. She came to Canada with her husband in 1954 to start a new life & have a family. She loved gardening, reading, puzzles, Rummikub and doing cross stitch.

Annie was predeceased by her husband Derk in 1993, her brother Henk and sister-in-law Bep van den Berg. She is survived by her three children: Peter Vandenberg of Revelstoke, David Vandenberg of Hope and Kate (Ritchie) Baron of Revelstoke; four grandchildren; Virgil, Christine, Tyler & Cody, six great grandchildren; niece Marian of Agassiz, niece Carin of The Netherlands, nephews, Henk & Remco of The Netherlands, her close friend Janet Pearson as well as her beloved kitty cat Smudgie.
