Cecile Rainville

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our
mother Cecile Yvonne Rainville on November 8, 2023 at the
age of 99. Cecile was born in Desbiens Quebec to Laurence
and Berthilda Doyle. In May of 1946 she married Gerard
Rainville and shortly after they moved to the Smoky River
area. They lived on a farm in Donnelly for a few years then
moved to Falher where they raised their eleven children. In
1969 they moved to Edmonton where they lived until
1980 ,then retired and moved back to Falher where she
enjoyed her flowers, reading, playing cards and going to
bingo with her friends. Gerard passed away in 2001 and four
years later our mother moved to Spruce Grove with her son
Norman. In 2014 she moved to Salmon Arm, British
Columbia where she lived with Norman and Denise until her
passing . She loved to sit on the patio and watch the birds
and squirrels coming to the feeders. She is survived by her
eleven children Carole, Denise, Norman, Gilbert, Marcel,
Lynda, Danny, Paul, Andre and Jacque, her 14 grandchildren
and 9 great grandchildren. She was a kind and gentle lady
and will be greatly missed.
