Janie passed away February 2 in Salmon Arm, BC after a prolonged illness.
She leaves behind her husband Murray and daughter Christy and granddaughter Makana.
She was predeceased by her parents Eric and Kathleen Elliott of Renfrew, Ontario. She leaves five siblings; sisters Bev Proctor, Marie Brydges, Kathy Kauffeldt, all of Renfrew; and brothers, James of Arnprior and Donald of Costa Rica. Also missed by sister-in-law Linda Elmudesi of Florida.
In Jane’s younger years as a musician, she enjoyed playing music in various bands and piano bars throughout the Ottawa valley. Upon marriage to Murray, she moved to Edmonton, Alberta. She loved Alberta, especially her visits to the Rocky Mountains. Upon retirement, she moved to the Okanagan to be closer to her daughter and granddaughter. Her winters were spent in Florida where she made lifelong friendships with a group of women, they called themselves the “Ya Ya AY Sisters”.
As per Janie’s wishes, cremation has taken place and her ashes will be laid to rest with her family at Hillcrest Cemetery in Calabogie, Ontario.
