It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jack Ernest Kowall, 84, of Enderby BC., on Thursday Nov 18,2021.
Jack was born in Kenora, Ont. on Apr. 2, 1937 to Philip and Mary Kowall. He lived his earlier years in Kenora and enjoyed the outdoors, trapping and fishing in the areas many lakes. His family moved to Atikokan, Ont. in his late teens and he completed his training for an electrician in 1959. In 1962, he married the love of his life, Patti, and they settled in Atikokan with their 2 small children. Jack had an outgoing personality and usually accomplished whatever he set his mind to. He was an avid skier and was always up for adventure. In 1968, work took him north to Thompson Manitoba for a few years where he developed a love for the CB radio and spent many a night talking "skip" as they called it to people all over the world. They then moved back to Ontario and finally out to BC in 1971 where they eventually settled in Enderby. He stayed an avid skier, even into his latter years and his CB radio habit transferred to the computer where he still enjoyed meeting people via the internet.
Jack and Patti enjoyed travelling, be it in their motorhome or with YWAM or just short road trips. Jack loved the Lord and was never shy to tell people how God had transformed his life which included a 58 year sobriety and involvement in AA. He also enjoyed gardening and with his greenhouse and was able to grow veges well into the Winter.
Jack is survived by his wife, Patti, his daughter, Kimberly, his grandaughter, Shannon and her husband Jeremy, grandson Nicholas and his wife Jillian, and his grandson Jeffrey. His great grandchildren, Cordaliene, Kaeli, Jacob and Josiah.
I will miss you so much, Dad.
