It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James H. Moen on April 5th, 2021 at his beloved family farm.
Jim was one of the last babies born in the Enderby & District Memorial Hospital on February 19, 1946. He was a long-time resident of the Hadow Road and Grandview Bench Areas and amassed a large number of friends and acquaintances. Jim proudly supported his family as a logger, a farmer and a land developer.
Those who knew Dad knew that He always had a beer to share anytime. And he was always willing to help out a friend or Neighbor in need. Jim held his titles as Dad, Papa and Pops with honour. He was always interested in what all of us were up to and truly enjoyed his visiting with friends and family.
In his younger years he loved dancing, playing cards, tossing horseshoes, playing hockey and fast ball. He also coached ladies fast ball . And was very proud of his team. “The Hilltoppers. “
He leaves behind his wife of 54 years (Sandra), his sisters (Betty and Marion (Otto ) and Ardys’ partner Ron. His children Jim (Shannon) Moen, Brenda (Peter) Schrama and Stacey (Rick) Larson. Papa will also be dearly missed by his seven grandchildren: Cora Moen Caitlynn (Jacob) and Kendra (Nick) Schrama, Derrick (Jacquie), Dustin (Breanna), Jess (Jordan) and Josie (Keith) Larson And several nieces and nephews as well as many many family and friends.
James was predeceased by his parents, Leona and Odin, his sister, Ardys and his brother in-law Frank.
