Volker Gruban Obituary

Volker was born on June 26, 1949 in Berlin, Germany to Heinz and Ursula Gruban.

In 1956, Volker, his older brother, Dag, and their parents made the brave trip to Canada and finally landed in Vancouver, British Columbia. Here, Volker made many friends through school and over 40 years of working at Lafarge Concrete. In 1970, he met and married Vicki and they had just celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary on July 4. Suddenly, in the early morning of July 10, 2021, Volker was taken into God's hands to be reunited with his mother and father. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Vicki, daughter Karlie (Brian), son Jarret and his two granddaughters, Jaycelyn (Jayce) and Rhylan, and an additional step granddaughter, Brooklyn, and his brother Dag (Gail) and many more family members and friends.

Cremation to follow. At Volker's request, there will be no service.
