Wayne will be remembered for his great sense of humour. Always making people laugh. His wife Kathryn was the love of his life. He called her his queen of hearts. Wayne had his challenges and at the age of 12 he was told he would be blind in his adult years. He had macular degeneration. That didn’t stop Wayne from enjoying life. He and Kathryn had an off the grid cabin built in the woods in Seymour Arm British Columbia in the 1980’s. It was their happy place. Enjoying nature, fishing and the friends they made in Seymour. Wayne looked forward to his Saturday poker games.
After Kathryn’s passing in 2019, Wayne was heartbroken and because of his declining health decided to move to Salmon Arm, living in a long term care facility there. On October 10, 2021 he had a peaceful passing at age 74.
He will be missed by all who knew him. Rest in peace my dear friend.
